Head of Commercial
Hervé Liboureau joined Staples in October 2015 as Head of Advantage, Staples Europe.
Previously Hervé had several positions within SAP, the last one being General Manager, Telco Industry EMEA and SrVP Mobile Solutions. Prior to SAP, Hervé was Managing Director, Europe at BlackBerry. During his 4 years at BlackBerry, Hervé successfully held multiple Operational and Sales Leadership roles, including managing BlackBerry’s partnership with Orange. Before that Hervé worked 7 years at Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks in various Sales & Marketing leadership positions. Hervé joined Nokia, after working for Cisco Systems, through the acquisition of the Tahoe Networks start-up he did with Silicon Valley based former Cisco colleagues.
Hervé holds a Master of Science in Telecommunication and graduated from Telecom SudParis, the reference Institute for Information and Communication Technology in France.
Head of Retail
Patrick joined Staples in October 2014 as Managing Director Retail UK. In early 2016, he was appointed to his current role of Head of Retail Europe & Managing Director Retail UK.
Patrick has over 17 years of experience in the Food and Non-Food Retail & Wholesale sector and has operated at Board level across Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Staples, he was Group Director with Netherlands-based wholesale distribution company Hanos Internationale Horecagroothandel. He also served as Vice-President and Operations Director with Makro Cash & Carry in the United Kingdom, and held various commercial roles with Makro and Metro Cash & Carry International, a self-service wholesaler.
Head of Merchandising
Sharon joined Staples as Category Director Print-Technology in September 2015 and was appointed as Head of Merchandising in June 2016.
Prior to joining Staples Europe, Sharon previously served as Chief Procurement Officer at BAS Group The Netherlands, where she led a team of category management, demand, forecast & analysis, channel marketing senior reports across entire organization. Throughout her career, Sharon also held various commercial roles in Asia and Eastern Europe.
Sharon has over 20 years broad experiences and knowledge in running an Omni-channel business platform in FMCG segment specialized in Procurement, Supply-Chain including DF&A with high level experiences in T&C negotiations and CGL coverage with major MNC. She had involved in various M&A in the past years with core management scope of business strategy.
Head of Supply Chain & Customer Service
Bas joined Staples in 2010 and was appointed as Head of Supply Chain, Staples Europe in 2011. In early 2013, Bas also assumed responsibility for Customer Service across Europe.
Bas has in depth Supply Chain experience spanning several industries. After starting his career as a consultant with Andersen Consulting (currently Accenture), Bas joined Heineken as head of Demand and Supply planning of the global distribution for the brand. Bas also served as a management team member in a contract logistics company serving many retail and production companies with European dedicated supply chain solutions.
Chief Financial Officer (acting)
Omar joined Staples Solution in 2017 as acting Chief Financial Officer.
He is also an Operating Executive for Cerberus Capital Management. Prior to his current role, he has held numerous financial leadership roles in companies like Lear, Guilford Mills, and GE.
Omar is a seasoned senior finance executive with extensive experience in financial management of both public and Private Equity backed enterprises.
Head of Human Resources
Monica joined Staples in January 2014.
Monica began her career with Tesi, an Italian consulting firm specializing in human capital services, before moving to Randstad Italia as HR Director in 2000. Promoted to a central role in the Netherlands as HR Processes Director, Monica became responsible for creating and implementing international standards. Monica then moved in to the role of Director Organizational Development and Change. Prior to her Staples transition, most recently Monica held a dual role as HR Business Partner supporting countries in Europe and Asia as well as Director of Rewards and Performance Management.
Monica brings 20 years of well-rounded HR generalist experience to Staples, along with experience in both operational and strategic HR roles plus specialist skills in recruitment, talent development, change management and consultation.
Head of Technology
Dave joined Staples in September 2013 with over 18 years international CIO experience.
In addition to his Technology leadership role, Dave also holds responsibility for the European Master Data Management business function covering the creation and maintenance of Staples Europe’s master data.
Prior to joining Staples, Dave held roles at Procter & Gamble and Ipsos Market Research where he transformed large international IT organizations, drove major SAP and Shared Services implementations and also worked in IT innovation areas such as business intelligence, digital marketing, and e-commerce.
A Dutch native, Dave has lived in seven countries throughout his career (Netherlands, Belgium, Indonesia, UK, Switzerland, Venezuela, and Brazil) and speaks five languages. In 2012, Dave was elected #12 in UK CIO Magazine’s Top 100 most influential CIOs.
Head of Legal
With over 20 years European legal experience, Yvonne joined Staples as Head of Legal in October 2013.
Prior to joining Staples, most recently Yvonne served 10 years as Head of Legal at ChelloBenelux (an affiliate of media company Liberty Global) after transitioning from a Dutch law firm, where Yvonne specialized in intellectual property, media, marketing, and privacy law.
Program Management Office (Acting)
Andy joined the Staples Solutions team in February 2017and is heading the newly formed Program Management Office.
Andy has more than 25 years of experience in both operational and consulting roles across multiple industries and service lines. As a consultant he has worked for AlixPartners where he was responsible for managing the implementation of complex performance improvement programs for clients in retail, logistics and distribution, consumer goods, health care, and industrial products and services across Europe, the US and the Middle East. He previously worked for McKinsey & Co. as a manufacturing and supply chain expert in the Global Operations practice. Andy’s industrial credentials are from the automotive industry where he held senior production management responsibilities for car assembly operations at Toyota and General Motors plants in the UK. Andy began his career in the British Royal Navy, where he served as an engineer officer in the submarine service.
Andy holds a degree in engineering gained at the Royal Naval Engineering College in the UK. He is also an Operating Executive for Cerberus Capital Management.
